His Trump Card

I grope around the floor of the pitch-black dungeon of a house, pricking my finger on something sharp and protruding.

Knees trembling, I slowly rise from the ground, tactilely scanning the wall for a light switch. I hear a small click!, and the room is drowned with light. After blinking my irritated eyes for a few seconds, I crane my neck to get a better view of the room.

As I suck on my nicked finger, I see a piece of paper resting on a mat, covered in my blood. I kneel beside it to get a closer look; it seems to be a bankruptcy document of some sort.

Crap, I Forgot to Do My Homework

Meh.

What can you do?

It happens.

Sometimes, you can finish it on the bus.

Other times, you fall asleep on the bus.

Sometimes, you’re given an entire summer to do it.

And you wake up one morning and realize,

“Crap, I forgot to do my homework! XD”

So you go to school

And you beg forgiveness from your teachers

And you get a zero

And your parents beat you when they see that

And you bury your face into your pillow and cry

Until you realize you have homework again.

It’s sort of poetic, isn’t it?

Have a nice day fellas.

Hell’s Triumvirate (Title Pending): PROLOGUE

The night’s tears peppered the cracked earth below, Her sobs bellowing deafeningly though the heavens. Darkness’s terror enveloped an unsuspecting creature beneath Her grace. As Her shadowy jaws clamped down upon the air, the creature howled a terrible howl.

“Aaaaooooooooooooooh!” Agonizing screams, earsplitting, pierced Lady Darkness. The mammalian figure stretched its jaws open wide, revealing fangs jutting out violently like daggers. Fangs of pure silver gleamed in the pitch black embrace of the Lady, menacing.
